Norma Jean (Prince) Beck

Mrs. Norma Jean Prince Beck, 81, resident of High Point, died September 10, 2018 at High Point Medical Center.

Mrs. Beck was born September 13, 1936 in Guilford County, a daughter to the late Clarence M. and Hazel Bryant Prince.  A resident of this area all her life, she was a member of Deep River Friends Meeting and retired from First Union Bank.  After retirement, she worked part-time for Northwood Oil.  She loved reading, shopping and especially her grandchildren.

Surviving is her husband of 62 years, William Phillip Beck of the home; two daughters, Crystal Ann Beck and partner Eric McDaniel of High Point and Holly Perryman and husband Rick of High Point; and two grandchildren, Andrew Richard Perryman and fiancé Rachel Cox and Austin Phillip Perryman.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Jeannette Munchel and her foster parents, Lee and Nancy Everhart.

Funeral services will be held noon Thursday at Deep River Friends Meeting with Pastor Scott Wagoner and Pastor John Sides officiating.  Interment will immediately follow in the meeting cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the meeting one hour prior to the service on Thursday.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Deep River Friends Meeting, 5300 W. Wendover Ave. High Point, N.C., 27265.
