Patricia Tiessie (Wood) Bolen

THOMASVILLE – Patricia Wood Bolen, 66, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 14, 2020, at Thomasville Medical Center.

She was born April 12, 1954, in Winston-Salem and was the daughter of the late Clarence C. and Blanche Hardy Wood. Patricia was a faithful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She loved Jesus, enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoyed watching westerns, Ma & Pa Kettle and The Waltons.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Tyler Ray Bolen.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Ray Owens Bolen, whom she married on January 20, 1971; children, Ben Bolen (Sherry) of Randleman, Robert Bolen (Kristie) of Greensboro, Donna Gordon (Stephen) and Shannon Hamilton (Brad), both of Thomasville; seven grandchildren, Chris Bolen (Monica), Brittany Aultman (Cody), Bryce Bolen (Carly), Nick Bolen (Madison), Andrew Bolen, Taylor Rae Gordon and Whitney Belle Hamilton; five great-grandchildren, Carson Bolen, Raelynn Aultman, Madelyn Bolen, Everlee Aultman and Addison Aultman; three sisters, Joann Fife (Bill) of High Point, Rosie Hutchens (Bobby) of Sanford, and Betty Jean Wood of Thomasville; three brothers, Lonnie Wood (Kathy) of Silver Valley, J.W. Wood (Teresa) of Reidsville and Albert Wood of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service celebrating Patricia’s life will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 17, 2020, at Love of God Baptist Church in Thomasville with Brother Mike Orman officiating. Entombment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. Due to the current pandemic, masks are recommended and friends are asked to observe proper social distancing.
