Patti McCoy Briggs

Patti McCoy Briggs, 67, a resident at Shannon Gray Nursing Home, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at High Point Medical Center. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael George Briggs.

She was born on October 7, 1956, in High Point and was the daughter of George William and Helen Kearns Briggs. Patti graduated from High Point University. She began her career as an Emergency Medical Technician and went on to be a nurse in private practice until her health would no longer allow her to work. Patti was diagnosed with Lupus at a young age, but despite her physical hardships, countless surgeries and endless challenges, her faith in God and strong will to live gave her strength to fight this debilitating disease with dignity. 

There will be no formal service at this time.
