Ms. Patty Jane Neave

Patty Jane Neave of Colfax, NC passed away on November 9, 2016at age 73.  She was the oldest daughter of Richard and Helen Neave of High Point and is survived by her sister Carol Neave Longworth, of Jamestown, NC and Gloria Neave Welch of Robbins, NC.  She also leaves five nieces, three grandnieces and three grandnephews.
Patty graduated from Ragsdale High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University and her master’s from UNC-Greensboro. She taught health and physical education in the Guilford County School System for 30 years.  She loved teaching and coaching children of all ages.  She was also an active member of the Church at High Point where she played piano and her many harmonicas.
Visitation will be at Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Drive on Sunday November 13th from 1:00 until 2:00 pm.  Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm.  
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC  27262.
