Patty McCoy Smith

Mrs. Patricia McCoy “Patty” Smith, 79, formerly of Burlington, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 at North Pointe of Archdale following a lengthy illness.

Born April 26, 1938, in High Point, Patty was the daughter of the late Barnett Greer and Hassie McCoy Smith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Connely, Greer, and Clyde Smith, and three sisters, Lola Shelton, Helena Briggman, and Dema Coleman. Patty grew up in Burlington and attended Technical Institute of Alamance, while living on Tucker St. Later, she moved in with her sister, Dema Coleman, on Walker Ave. She was a member of Jewel Baptist Church in High Point.

Patty is survived and loved by her many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.
