Pearl (Boyd) Clark Jones

TRINITY – Pearl Clark Jones, 95, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at her residence, with her loving family by her side.

She was born April 24, 1923, in Henry County, Virginia, and was the daughter of the late William “Bill” and Flora Wood Boyd. She was an upholstery sewer with Kay-Lynn Furniture for many years before retiring at the age of 85.  She was a longtime member of Landmark Baptist Church and started the Clark Family Singers.  She enjoyed raising a garden, working in her flowers, cooking and sewing. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rueben Richard Clark; daughter, Regina Landreth; two sons, Gary Clark and Roger Clark; three sisters; and four brothers.

Pearl is survived by her four children, Eldean “Dean” Carter, Douglas “Doug” Clark and wife, Shirley, and Erma Hedrick, all of Trinity and Mamie Ruth Orr and husband, James, of Archdale; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service celebrating Pearl’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, at Landmark Baptist Church with Rev. Amos Mashburn and Rev. Rodney Hedrick officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:45 PM Friday at the church prior to the service.
