ARCHDALE-Perry Marley, 61, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 19th, 2018.
He was born on April 9th, 1957 in Randolph County, to the late Mildred Marley, and had been a resident of this area all his life. He proudly served his country in the US Army, also serving in the National Guard. He was a retired Electrician. Perry enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and raising beagles for hunting. He especially liked to hear his beagles run. His true love and passion was spending time with his family. In addition to his mother, preceding him in death were his sister, Shirley Bodiford and his brother in-law, Curtis Bodiford.
He is survived by his wife, Linda McGee Marley; his son, Michael Cutter; his nieces, Shelly Garner and her husband Ken, Sherry Hill and her husband, Eddy. Also surviving are 2 great nephews; 2 great nieces and a great-great nephew.
A service to celebrate Perry’s life will be held on Saturday afternoon, June 23rd, at 2 o’clock, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, with Reverend Tim Christopher officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the Randolph County Honor Guard. His family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:45 until 1:45 at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of ICU at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, for their care and attention provided to Perry while he was a patient there.
