Peter Ross Scribner

Mr. Peter Ross Scribner, 86, resident of Jamestown, NC, died July 6, 2019 at Heartland Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Pete was born March 27, 1933 in Hollywood, CA, a son to Thornton S. and Helen Payne Scribner.  He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving as an Air Force navigator.  Later, he worked as a consultant in civil engineering and also was an active participant in Alcoholics Anonymous.  He had been a resident of the Jamestown area for sixteen years.  On August 19, 1979, he married the former Marie Phelps who survives of the residence.

Also surviving is his daughter, Nancy Raguse and husband David of Oswego, IL; a son, Ross Waring and wife Linda of Grass Valley, CA; a brother, James Scribner of Tahoe City, CA; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Stunkel and a son, Michael Wardlaw.
