TRINITY – Phillip Ray Leonard, Sr., 70, died Saturday, June 27, 2020, at his residence.
He was born January 19, 1950, in Lexington and was the son of the late James William and Pansey Mae Ataley Leonard. He was a highly skilled brick mason and enjoyed going to the coast fishing. Ray was a cut-up with a great sense of humor and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James William Leonard, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Mullis Leonard, whom he married on December 28, 1990; son, Phillip Ray Leonard, Jr. (Christa); daughter, Crystal Leann Leonard, both of Thomasville; stepson, Michael Mosley (Jenifer) of Trinity; four grandchildren, Caleb Earl, Leah Leonard, Chloe Leonard and Triston Leonard; sister, Judy Leonard of Charlotte; and brother, Tommy Leonard (Vickie) of Thomasville.
Private graveside service will be held at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Joe T. Beane officiating.
