HIGH POINT – Phyllis Marie Walker Latham, 89, died Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Graybrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born January 16, 1932 in High Point and was the daughter of the late William Jarvis and Mazie Wall Walker. She was a seamstress for many years and retired from Norland Studio. She enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Calvin Latham, whom she married on December 29, 1951; and a brother, David B. Walker.
Phyllis is survived by two sons, Barry C. Latham, and wife, Muriel, of Thomasville and Derek Latham of High Point; four grandchildren, Corey Latham, Jenny Parker and her husband, Ryan, Morgan Latham and Ryan Latham; and four great-grandchildren, Henley Parker, Brody Zakos, Waylon Rios and Maklynlee Latham.
Graveside service celebrating Phyllis’s life will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Roger Carmichael officiating. The family will speak with friends following the service at the cemetery.
