SOPHIA – Robert Kent Logan, 57, died Thursday, October 31, 2019, at his residence.
He was born October 1, 1962, in High Point and was the son of Patricia “Pat” Burrow Logan and the late Donald Robert Logan. He was a graduate of Trinity High School Class of 1981 and worked as a truck mechanic with Ryder Industrial Village. Kent was an avid Carolina Panthers fan, enjoyed NASCAR racing and loved doing yard work. He especially enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Ray Logan.
Kent is survived by his wife, Louise “Weezy” Sherrill Logan, whom he married on September 28, 2002; his mother, Pat Logan of Archdale; three brothers, Derek Logan (Carol) of Greenville, SC, Craig Logan (Michelle) of Pensacola, FL, and Todd Logan of Denton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating Kent’s life will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, November 3, 2019, in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:50 pm Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
