Randy Thomas Johnson, 65, a compassionate husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 29. Proceeded in death by his parents Paul Eugene Johnson and Mary Geraldine Cruthis. Surviving him are his wife of 46 years, Celeste Minton Johnson. His Children, Mandy (David) Howard, Tommy (Melissa) Johnson, and his best 4-legged shadow, Dexter. Grandchildren Kevin (Kaitlin), Kennan (Shiann), Samantha, Cody, Marissa (Lucas), Zacharay, Alexis, and Junie. Great Grandchildren, Keilyn, Kaiden, Kynleigh, Tember, and Kayne. 2 Brothers, Vic Johnson, and Jeff (Debbie) Johnson. Brother and Sister In Laws, Joey (Sue) Minton, David (Karen) Minton, and Marie (Jeff) Riley. And many nieces, nephews and cousins. A faithful member of Allendale Baptist Church for 35 years. Recently retired from Cooper Electric Company, where he was a Foreman. Randy was a devoted family man and had a special bond with each of his grandchildren. Although a man of few words, he was well known for his infectious smile and laugh, his contagious sense of humor, his one of a kind "huuh," and his perfectly decorated birthday cards for his children and grandchildren - (don’t forget to look for the hidden age). His hobbies included watching NASCAR, Minnesota Viking Football, his grandchildren play sports, playing board games, drawing special birthday cards, making goofy sounds, and finding the light in any difficult situation- Grandpa never had the wrong answer.
A celebration of his life will be held 11 am Saturday October 8, 2022 at Allendale Baptist Church, located at 900 E Springfield Rd. High Point NC 27263. The family will greet friends at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262
