Raymond Lee Joyce, 60, of Jamestown passed away at his residence on Monday, March 19, 2018.
Lee was born in Guilford County, December 16, 1957 to the late, Homer Joyce and Estella Amelia Thompson Joyce.
Lee was a loving husband, devoted father and grandpaw to his family. He graduated valedictorian of his class from Ragsdale High School. After high school Lee went to UNC - Chapel Hill and remained an avid Tarheel fans. NASCAR was his favorite sport and he was a fan of Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. He was employed for 33 years at the Harris Teeter Distribution Center in Greensboro. Lee was known to be an animal lover and a kind, generous man to all. He will be missed by family and friends.
Those who will cherish his memories are his loving wife of 26 years Sandy Skeen Joyce, his son; Travis Alan Lee of High Point, his daughter; Heather Marie Flynt and husband, Jason of High Point, and his four grandchildren; Ally, Sarah, Lilly and Cassidy Flynt.
A service to celebrate Lee’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Drive in High Point with Rev. Sam White officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro.
The family will receive friends 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the funeral home.
