Our prayers are with all of the family at this time. So grateful that we were able to share this man for so many years. His wife, and children, are our family. Preacher Walker was my best friend as a child, taking my brother, and I to work with him occasionally, on those bulldozers. To a young man, that was the opportunity of a life time
He was my pastor as I grew, he led myself, and so many more to Christ. His face, with those beautiful red cheeks, and that sweet, humble smile always led me to think he had just come from the presence of God himself. I often imagined that Moses' face would have looked like that after God passed by him. I know you are hurting, and I have no words to comfort. Please understand though, that because you shared him with us, many, many folks, along with their entire families will have eternal life. We love every one of you. Blessings

We are blessed to have known Charles and to have heard him preach many times. He was truly a faithful servant of the Lord and he loved to share salvation’s message with others. He made a difference in our lives. Richard said he was baptized many years ago by two preachers, Austin “Bud” Frye and Charles Walker and they will always have a special place in his heart. These Bible verses describe the life of Rev. Charles Walker: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” (2 Timothy 4:7-8 KJV)

I am so saddened to hear the news of Rev. Walker leaving the gravitation of earth and taking his heavenly flight. I am equally elated for his being promoted from the Church militant to the Church triumphant. We know this is not the end for we can see the same testimony that will be said of him as it was of Enoch. "Enoch walked with God and was not for God took him". But when he left for heaven he had this testimony "That he pleased God." So did Rev. Walker, my spiritual father. My prayers always for my spiritual Mother, Mozell and the rest of the family.

This earth has lost a truly special man. He was one of a kind, a good person in all areas of his life. He was someone I always thought of as a hero. He served God, his family and his country. And he did it with a grace and understanding that few possess. He will be missed.
