TRINITY – Revis Lon Burchfield, Sr., 89, died Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at Hospice of Davidson County following a period of declining health for the last year.
Revis was born February 13, 1930, in Bryson City, NC and was the son of the late Charles Ausborn Burchfield and Ida Alice McMahan Burchfield. He was an Army Air Force veteran who served in World War II and was a retired truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Jean; grandsons, Bobby, Jr. and Lonnie Ray; and ten brothers and sisters.
Revis is survived by son, Revis Lon Burchfield, Jr, and his wife, Kay, of High Point, daughter and caregiver, Debbie Burchfield of the home, daughter, Janice Lovern and husband, Carl, of Pulaski, VA, son, Bobby Burchfield and wife, Lucia, of High Point, son, Randel Scott Burchfield and wife, Andrea, of Linwood, NC, son, Alan Burchfield and wife, Penny, of Roxboro, NC, and daughter, Becky Kradel and husband, Dennis, of Roxboro, NC; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service celebrating Revis’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, Octoer 5, 2019, in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Pastor Phil Dice officiating. Entombment will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum with military honors accorded by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 1:45 pm Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
