Ricardo Izquierdo

High Point – Mr. Ricardo Izquierdo, 77, passed away Monday, August 3, 2020 at the Hospice Home in High Point.

Born February 20, 1943, in Havana, Cuba, he was the son of the late Ricardo Izquierdo and Armanda Rodriquez. He was preceded in death by his sister Selenia.

Ricardo and his family left Cuba in 1993 and lived in Miami, FL until 2005, when they moved to North Carolina. He worked as a custodian at Penn Griffin Middle School. Ricardo was a tender man and a romantic at heart. He could sing the lyrics of Johnny Mathis songs before he could speak English, and loved sending encouraging and inspirational text messages to his family.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Magnolia Izquierdo (De Armas); sons, Ricky Izquierdo and Ronny Izquierdo; daughter, Ninel Perez; and two grandchildren, Julian and Ulrich Izquierdo.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Hospice Home at High Point for the care and support given to Ricardo during his illness.
