Mr. Robert “Bob” William Henderson Jr., 69, resident of High Point, died May 14, 2018 at High Point Regional Hospital.
Bob was born July 24, 1948 in Guilford County, a son to the late Anne Grogan Henderson and Robert William Henderson Sr. He was resident of this area all his life and worked as a real estate appraiser at Henderson Appraisal Services for over 30 years. In 2012 he was chosen by HPRAR for the Hall of Fame Award for a lifetime of enduring contributions to the industry through persistent outstanding service. That same year, he married Brenda Showfety who survives of the residence. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Heddrick and Lois Grogan.
Also surviving is his son, Robert Brian Henderson and wife Lori of High Point; two grandchildren, Corrina Ann and Lacey Quinn; and two sisters, Ruby Boles and husband Leo of High Point and Annette Idol and husband Dwight of High Point. Family was the love of his life and he was always proud of their accomplishments. In addition to family, he also felt blessed to have a number of special friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point with Rev. David Galloway officiating. Interment will follow the service at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or to Victory Junction Gang Camp, 4500 Adam’s Way, Randleman, NC, 27317.
