TRINITY- Robert “Bob” McGee, 77, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 21, 2020.
He was born on October 4, 1943 in High Point and was the son of the late Robert McGee and Myrtle Steelman McGee Honeycutt. A resident of the area all his life, he served his country in the US Air Force and was a retired employee of Piedmont Electric. He was a longtime, active member of Glenola Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and formerly served on the Pastor Search committee and was in charge of the ushers. Bob was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching Tarheel Basketball and American Legion Baseball. His true love and passion was spending time with his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jean Davis McGee; his sons, Robby McGee and Jerry McGee and wife, Jordan; and a granddaughter, Avery Blair McGee.
A private family service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at Glenola Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Steen officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 pm Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Glenola Baptist Church with a graveside service following in the church cemetery with military honors accorded by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Following the committal service, the family will also speak with friends in the church fellowship hall.
