High Point – Robert “Bob” William Shortall, 75, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at his residence.

Born February 9, 1946, in Namur, Belgium, Bob was the son of the late William and Jeanne Servais Shortall.  Growing up in Flint, MI, Bob attended Holy Redeemer High School excelling in football and baseball.

After graduation Bob attended Western Michigan University before joining the United States Air Force, eventually earning the rank of Sergeant.  His love of flight transferred to civilian life where he logged many hours of recreational flight time. 

Working in agriculture and irrigation sales, Bob was regularly around one of his great passions: golf.  He continued agriculture work for Jamestown and High Point.

Robert is survived by his son, Matthew Shortall; brother, Michael Shortall and wife, Patricia; former wife, Cindy Shortall; nieces and nephews, Christine, Michael, Brian, and Catherine; along with countless friends in the community.

A service will be held Monday, May 24 at 1pm at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
