Rodger Allen Clark, 65, of Trinity, passed away October 18, 2018. He was born March 22, 1953, in Henry County, Virginia, to Pearl Jones and the late Richard Clark. For over 20 years, Rodger was employed at Swains Originals. He was an active member of Landmark Baptist Church where he played bass. He was also a member of the Riverside Quartet. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and looking for arrowheads.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Linda S. Clark; son, Michael Scott Clark of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Tehani Shipton of Lexington, NC; grandson, Ethan Alexander Shipton; mother, Pearl Jones; brother, Douglas Clark; three sisters, Dean Carter, Ruth Orr and Erma Hedrick; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his father, Rodger was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Clark; and sister, Regina Landreth.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at Landmark Baptist Church, 6055 Sunset View Drive, High Point, NC 27263, with Rev. Amos Mashburn and Rev. Rodney Hedrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church.
