Rodney “Hot Rod” Dean Lanier, age 56, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021.
Born in Davidson County, he was a son of the late James William Lanier and Betty Hardin Lanier of Archdale, NC. In addition to his parents, Rodney was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Lanier.
Rodney attended Trinity High School and worked the family business, Lanier Sheet Metal. He loved fishing, shooting pool, collecting artifacts, and was an exceptional foosball player. He was an amazing speed skater in his younger years. Rodney’s true passion in life was his love for trucks. Rather it be building them, climbing hills, and going mudding.
He leaves to cherish his memory many friends and his beloved dog, Jackson. His absence will be felt by many and he will be missed beyond words.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kingdom Vision Ministries Global, 401 E. Main Street, Thomasville, NC 27360 conducted by Pastor Blair Ludwig.
