Ronnie Dale Tate

SOPHIA – Ronnie Dale Tate, 50, died Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at High Point Medical Center.

He was born November 18, 1969, in Asheboro and was the son of the late Troy and Cynthia Beach Tate. He was a former scrap metal hauler who helped everyone he could, leaving an imprint on everyone who know him. His family was his most cherished treasure and he was a loving husband and wonderful father.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Marie Tate; father-in-law, Howard Gregson; and sister, Judy Tate.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, who was his whole world, Mary Gregson Tate, whom he married on February 13, 1988; four children, Ronnie “Little Ronnie” Tate, Jr., Chris Tate (Cassie Andrews), Buddy Tate, and Cindy Tate (Cameron Goddard), all of Sophia; sisters, Robin Boone (Brian) of Thomasville and Debbie Wall (Richard) of Glenola; brothers, Virgil Tate of Thomasville, Wayne Tate (April) of Sophia, Arthur Tate and Ray Tate, both of Trinity; mother-in-law, Marilyn Gregson of Randleman; and two grandchildren on the way.

Funeral service celebrating Ronnie’s life will be held 1:30pm Wednesday, November 18, 2020, in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Pastor Danny Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park Cemetery in Asheboro.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.
