Ruby Carrick

Ruby Marsh Carrick passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2020 in Jacksonville, Florida.  Mrs. Carrick was formerly a resident of High Point and Greensboro, NC.

Mrs. Carrick was born to William Thomas Marsh, Sr. and Lou Sadie Winslow Marsh of Thomasville, NC on January 31, 1925.  She married Virgil Paul Carrick, Sr. on February 14, 1945, who preceded her in death.  Mrs. Carrick had four children:  Virgil Paul Carrick, Jr. and his former wife, Judy Evans Carrick, Roger Lane Carrick who preceded her in death, Janet Carrick Mendenhall and her husband, Mike Mendenhall, and Judith Carrick Rigsbee Harvey and her husband, Kenneth Harvey.  She had six grandchildren:  Jon Mendenhall, Robert Mendenhall, Paige Elizabeth Turner and her husband, Capt. Michael A. Turner, Jordan Carrick and his fiancé, Jessica Montgomery, Clif Rigsbee and Alec Rigsbee.  She was blessed with four great grandchildren: Adalynn Grace Montgomery, William Andrew Turner, Benjamin Stewart Turner and Samuel Carrick Turner.  Mrs. Carrick had four brothers and four sisters:  William (Bill) T. Marsh, Jr. who preceded her in death, Luke Marsh, Sr. who preceded her in death, Bobby J. Marsh, Elmo D. Marsh who preceded her in death, Ethel Marsh Wise who preceded her in death, Margaret Marsh McBride, Polly Marsh Sowers who preceded her in death and Joyce Marsh Berrier.

Mrs. Carrick was a very active volunteer during her lifetime.  She was a former member of Central Alliance Church, High Point and Gate City Baptist Church, Greensboro, NC and most recently a member of Fruit Cove Baptist Church, Fruit Cove, FL. 

Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, there will not be a visitation or funeral.  Graveside services will be private.
