Russell Delon Hill

High Point – Russell Delon Hill, 77, passed away peacefully and suddenly at his home on Monday, November 16, 2020.

Russell was born in High Point on April 27, 1943 and was a lifelong member of the High Point community.  He was a member of Oak View Baptist church and a member of  Fred Schuermann’s Sunday School class.

Russell is survived by his wife, whom he married August 1, 1980, Ruth Albertson Hill; daughter, Beverly Marie Whaley and her husband, Peter of Evergreen; sons, Keith Russell Hill and his wife, Bonnie of Chadborn, Kyle Lee Hill and his wife Audrey of High Point; sisters, Betty Lambert, Louise King and husband, Grayson, Pat Barnes; 22 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Russell was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles, James and Larry Hill.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 19th at Guilford Memorial Park at 6000 W. Gate City Blvd in Greensboro with Reverend Steve Smith and Reverend Donald Duncan.  The family will greet friends following the service.
