Ruth Grey (Halik) Eller

Ruth Halik Eller, 60, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 6, at Forsyth Medical Center. Ruth was born September 18, 1960, in Winston-Salem to the late Elizabeth “Jackie” and Kenneth Halik.

Ruth graduated from Reynolds High School and studied fashion design at Bauder College in Atlanta, GA.

Stubborn and vivacious, Ruth excelled in her years of work for Dr. Fred Glatz, but her true work home was Vincenzos Family Restaurant, where she worked on and off since high school. Ruth deeply loved the Vincenzo’s family and considered both the staff and guests to be a part of her extended family.

Ruth married Todd Morris Eller in May 1991, and they had their son Alex in September 1993. Ruth’s true driving passion was the care and concern for Alex, who has a rare bone disorder.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Bayada Nursing and their many wonderful nurses who have cared for Alex and family throughout the years.

Ruth is predeceased by her grandparents and her mother.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date for all of those whose life Ruth touched.

Left to cherish her memory are husband Todd and son Alexander; brothers: David and Ken, and his spouse Juan Vasquez Rodriquez; in-laws: Tracey Eller; Roxanne Foster, and her children, Lane and Bridgette; Greg Eller and wife, Mary Ann, and their children, Ben, Marilou, and Jonathan.
