Sherry Dean (Summit) McCall

Mrs. Sherry Dean Summit McCall, 60, of Archdale, passed away, Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at her residence.

Born July 1, 1957, in High Point, Sherry was the daughter of Jack and Mary Etta Cook Summit. She was a member of Fairfield United Methodist Church. Sherry loved Christmas time and was well known for the Christmas lights she decorated her home and yard with during the season. She enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her flowers, and loved taking care of her grandchildren.

Sherry is survived by her husband of 45 years, Charles E. McCall; her parents, Jack and Mary Etta Summit; five children, Selina McCall Boardman and husband, Dale, Jeremy McCall, Jamie McCall Hill and husband, Lee, Brandon McCall, and Sheree McCall Parker and husband, Aaron; 11 grandchildren, Justin McCall, Christian Locklear, Kaylee McCall, Damien Hill, Preston Steffey, Jaylee Hill, Lainey McCall, Brayden McCall, Skyler Boardman, Tyler Boardman, and Seth McCall; and a sister, Jackie Carico. She was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Summit.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Fairfield United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Oliver Helsabeck. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
