Shirley Ann (Manring) Steele

Mrs. Shirley Ann Manring Steele, 72, of High Point, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at her residence.

Born January 17, 1945, in Forsyth County, Shirley was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lilly Beatrice Collins Manring. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Brad William Steele and several siblings. Shirley was a member of Allendale Baptist Church and was retired from Royal Development. She enjoyed painting water colors, photography, and collecting coins, stamps and Barbies. She loved spending time with and reading to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny W. Steele, Jr., of the home; sons, Todd Steele, of High Point, and Trent Steele and wife, Tammy, of Greensboro; four grandchildren, Josh Steele, Saxton Steele, Jillian Steele, and Sydnee Steele; sister, Janice Akers Priddy; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, officiated by Rev. David Younger. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
