Stephen W. “Steve” Coltrane, a resident of Archdale, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 11th, 2020.
He was born April 12th, 1947 in High Point, the son of the late R.V. and Phyllis Coltrane. A resident of this area all his life, he worked in sales, where he made many friends along the way. After retirement he volunteered for the Salvation Army in Greensboro, and was an active member of Archdale United Methodist Church; where he was a member of the George Elder class. Steve’s greatest love and passion was spending time with his wife Nita, and his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years; Nita Nall Coltrane; his daughters, Sandra Flinchum, and her husband, Brian, of Thomasville, Amanda Royer of Altavista, VA, Melinda Bennett of Hurt, VA; his sons Scott Foster and his wife, Nita, of Haw River, and Todd Foster and his wife, Jennifer, of Archdale. He is also survived by his sisters, Carole Whisnant and her husband, Don, of Greensboro and Dianne Francin and her husband, Frank, of Topsail Beach; his grandchildren: Dylan Jones and his wife, Lindsey, of Morrisville, David Flinchum of Thomasville, Kaylin Franco and her husband, Ramiro, of High Point, Abby Foster of Archdale, Maddie Steele of Salisbury, Allyson Foster of Haw River, Casey Shelton of Altavista, VA, Emily Gibson of Hurt, VA, Taylor Nichols of Altavista, VA, Katelyn Bennett of Hurt, VA, and his great-grandchildren, Roselyn and Leslie Franco of High Point.
A service to celebrate Steve’s life will be private.
