Betty,
I am fortunate to have met you and Strupe about ten years ago as you reconnected with my dad, Tom Bradshaw (Uncle Punk). I remember warm friendly visits, delicious birthday cakes (made by Strupe for my dad), and you both celebrating with me at my dad's 98th birthday. I will certainly miss Strupe--a wonderful, loving man. Sending prayers and love to you, Betty, during this sad time!

Betty,
We are so fortunate to have known you and Strupe. He was a delight and you were both a wonderful example of "good neighbors". Howard thought the world of him as well. He will be missed. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Dear Betty,
We are so sorry for your loss of Strupe. He was so gracious to us when we stopped by for a visit several years ago. I remember his kind smile and how he enjoyed showing us pictures of your grandchildren and telling us about their activities. May you know God's comfort and have confidence in our sure hope of the resurrection. You and your family are in our prayers.
Love,
Janet, for Russ and Janet Bjork

Dear Betty, I'm so sorry to hear of Strupe's passing. For many years I worked for Strupe as a Sedgefield sales rep and I can honestly tell you that working for Strupe was among my fondest memories in the furniture business. He was more than my boss, he was a friend. Please know that we will keep you and your family in our prayers.

Betty and family,
My sister, Eileen Bradshaw Roberts, called and told me that Strupe died. We are so sorry! You and Strupe were always so gracious and welcoming when we came to High Point. Ren came and visited with us at your home. Susan looked up information on my mother- Martha Carolyn Martin Bierwiller and aunt Grace Martin Montgomery (alums of Greensboro College) My sister Sandy remembers that Strupe grilled "Strupeburgers", at the family reunion.
We would love to have your mailing and email addresses, so we can keep in touch at Christmas. We are sending a memorial gift to Wesley Memorial U.M.C. Remember, God loves you and we love you too. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I just wanted to express my deepest sympathies. Even when our dear loved ones live a long, satisfying life it is still so hard to part ways with them. No doubt this is a difficult time for you, but please draw comfort from the fact that soon our Heavenly Father will address this issue. He will make death "no more”, here on Earth, and also bring back our loved ones that have already "fallen asleep" so we have a chance to be reunited with them (2Cor 1:3,4 Rev 21:3,4 John 5:28,29 & 1 Thess 4:14). Again, my condolences

So very sorry for the passing of Strupe.
Me and my sister-in-law Betty Spencer use to work in the lamp shade dept at Adams, Strupe would stop alot to say hello and see how things were going. He was such a nice man and a joy to talk to.
Will be praying for all the Lackey family that God will wrap his loving arms around the family in this time of sorrow.

Betty, so sorry to hear of the death of Strupe. It was many years ago when I met you two when we started renting your place at North Myrtle Beach. We had some good times there. I wanted you to know how nice you both have been through the years about our using your places there. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Warren and Joni,
My heart and prayers go out to you and the family at the passing of your father. I know he was a great man and an inspiration to many. The death of a parent is never easy to get over as I have lost both of my parents within the last year and a half, but the saving grace is knowing theirs was a life well lived, and are now enjoying their reward in heaven as your father is doing now. God Bless and keep you in His loving arms.

While it is never easy to lose a dear family member, I hope that with time you will gain peace and comfort in the memories of all Strupe meant to you. We are proud to call him a Guilford College alumni; He was a dedicated member of the Alumni Board, President's Club, and Quaker Club.
