Terry Leon Lowery

Terry Leon Lowery, 84, died Sunday, July 9, 2017, at his residence.

He was born January 9, 1933, in McDowell County and was the son of the late Carl H. and Lela Mae Mulnex Lowery.  He was a member of First Baptist Church and an operations manager for Pilot Freight Carriers until his retirement. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen McCoy and Pauline Mills.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Evans Lowery; three sons, Anthony Colin Lowery (Jane), David Evans Lowery and Marc Evans Lowery (Angela); six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial service celebrating Terry’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 12, 2017, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point with Dr. Joel Campbell and Rev. Bruce Hartgrove officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Life Tribute Center of Cumby Family Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC  27262; or to First Baptist Church, 405 N. Main Street, High Point, NC  27260.
