ARCHDALE - Timothy Wayne Mullis, 64, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020, at High Point Medical Center.
He was born April 29, 1956, in Burlington and was the son of the late Edward James Mullis, Sr. and Mary Ann Elizabeth Wilson Mullis. Tim was in the trucking business as an owner and operator for many years, driving trucks at the early age of sixteen. He was a business owner of M&M Loungers, T.W.M. Furniture Carriers and owned a bar business, Peddlers Den and Sand Bar. He loved his work and was a hard-working man. He also loved going to the beach, dancing and socializing with his most beautiful, outgoing personality. He always wore a smile for everyone. His most favorite place was the lake where he enjoyed driving boats fast or going on slow pontoon rides. He enjoyed listening to his favorite tunes and family get-togethers.
In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his brothers, James Mullis, Edward Mullis, Jr., and Harold Mullis.
Tim is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Jan Johnson Mullis; daughters, Misty Mullis Gallop and Misty Steele Witcher (Brian); grandchildren, Madison Jade Gallop, Justin and Makenzie Witcher; sister, Deb Taylor (Larry, “LT”); sister, Annette Leonard; sister-in-law, Deborah Mullis; his adopted family, Tommy Osborne (Amy) and their children, Conner and Hailey; many nieces and nephews; special friends who he dearly loved; and his “little side kick,” his dog, Zodi.
Funeral service celebrating Tim’s life will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, October 24, 2020, in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Brad Hamilton officiating.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no formal visitation and friends are requested to wear masks and practice safe social distancing.
