HIGH POINT – Timothy “Tim” David Ingram, 70, died Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro.

He was born July 8, 1953, in High Point and was the son of the late Herbert Smith Jr. and Margaret Cheves Ingram. He was a graduate of Central High School and studied at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and graduated from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. Tim was a retired supervisor with Piedmont Natural Gas following forty years of service and was a die-hard Carolina Tar Heel and Yankees fan. For many years, he was a youth baseball coach and umpire who helped restart the High Point Little League. He kept the Andrews and High Point Central football scoreboard for over thirty years and was inducted into the Central High School Hall of Fame. Tim served as a volunteer and as the valet with Wake Forest Health Cancer Center in High Point.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert “Herbie” Ingram III.

Tim is survived by his wife, Judy Cutler Matton Ingram, whom he married in August 1977; son, Joseph “Joey” Ingram and his wife, Lindsay Ray; his granddog, Seger, all of Apex, North Carolina; and brother, Michael “Mike” Ingram and his wife, Patricia, of Vilas, North Carolina.

A memorial service celebrating Tim’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 17, 2024, in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point with Rev. Roger Carmichael officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service in the Life Tribute Center of Cumby Family Funeral Service.
