Mr. Toney R.V. Watts, 78, resident of Sophia, died October 8, 2019 at his residence.
He was born May 9, 1941 in Columbus County, NC, a son to Mr. and Mrs. Roosevelt Watts. As a resident of this area over 50 years, he worked in furniture manufacturing and retired from Lampart. In 1968 he married the former Sybil Lee who survives of the residence. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters.
Also surviving are three sons, Steven Ray Lee (Tina Kopp), Jeffrey Wayne Watts and Mark Christopher Watts (Cherise) all of Sophia; ten grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. They’ll always remember him for his selfless spirit, one who put their needs and the needs of others ahead of his own.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, at Randolph Memorial Park Cemetery in Asheboro with Rev. Freddie Meadows and Mr. Butch Hinson officiating.
