Vickie Jeanene (Walker) Osborne

HIGH POINT – Vickie Jeanene Walker Osborne, 70, died Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at High Point Medical Center.

She was born September 12, 1949, in High Point and was the daughter of the late William Ray and Myrtle Beatrice Hager Walker. She was a retired seamstress and a member of New Heights Baptist Church.  Vickie was a member of The Singing Osbornes and traveled for eighteen years singing gospel music.  She enjoyed trips to the beach and enjoyed shopping and shagging.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Libby and Debbie.

Vickie is survived by her husband, J. Larry Osborne, whom she married on August 29, 1969; two daughters, Caroline Osborne of High Point and Amber Osborne of California; two sons, Rodney Osborne (Betty Tatum) of Sophia and Bryan Osborne (Stephanie) of High Point; five grandchildren, Brooke Osborne, Brittany Osborne, Rodney Osborne, Jr., Zac Osborne and Mattie B. Osborne; six great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Ethan, Kinsley, Brylon, Chance, and Zayla; and three brothers, Billy Walker (Ella) of Greensboro, David Walker of Randleman, and Keith Walker (Debbie) of Trinity.

Funeral service celebrating Vickie’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at New Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Porter and Rev. Steve Hill officiating.  Burial will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 1:45 pm Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
