Virginia Ratilla Menzel

Virginia Ratilla Menzel, age 58, wife of Michael Jon Menzel, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.

Born in Estado, Matalam, Cotabato, Philippines, she was the daughter of Maria Pamine Ratilla and the late Sergio Ratilla. Mrs. Menzel was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Filipino American Society. She loves to garden, cook, and make friends.  Ginny is culturally diverse, lived and worked in the Middle East where she met and married the love of her life and settled in the United States with her family. Among all her greatest qualities, she was a very passionate mother and wife, always taking care and putting her family first.

In addition to her mother and husband of 28 years, Mrs. Menzel is survived by three children, Geralyn Ratilla Phillips, James Menzel, and Hannah Menzel; two grandchildren, Colin Phillips Jr. and Angelica Lee Phillips; Mother Maria Magdalina Ratilla, sister Anecita Ratilla; and a brother, Doldie Ratillla.

A memorial service will be held on Oct 2nd at 2:00pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 4145 Johnson Street, High Point NC 27265. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM prior to the service.
