Wanda Kennedy Holder

SOPHIA - Wanda Kennedy Holder, 71, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Guilford County on August 19, 1949 and was the daughter of the late Dolphes Edward Kennedy and the late Kathleen Kennedy. Wanda was of the Baptist faith and was a retired upholstery seamstress. She was the best mother and grandmother in the world.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Billy Ray Holder; and sister, Linda Redmond.

Wanda is survived by her daughters, Lynn Holder of Lexington, Dawn Holder of Sophia and Christy Oxendine and husband, Billy, of Trinity; sister, Ruth Kennedy of Sophia; and two grandchildren, Nathan Oxendine and Jase Oxendine.

Graveside service celebrating Wanda's life will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Michael Mabe officiating.
