SOPHIA-Robert “Wayne” Isaacs, 69, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019.
He was born on September 9, 1949 in High Point, to Richard and Irene Shackelford Isaacs. A resident of this area all of his life, he was a 16 year veteran of the US Army, serving in Germany, Thailand, and Vietnam. After his military career, he came home and attended Davidson County Community College where he received an Associate’s Degree. He later went to work for Slane Hosiery, and was a life time member of Allendale Baptist Church. Wayne enjoyed his boat, and fishing all day; especially at Randleman Lake, and raising Maltese and Yorkie dogs. He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife Madgie Callicutt Isaacs and his mother, Irene Shackelford Isaacs (James Evans).
A service to celebrate Wayne’s life will be held on Monday morning, April 22, at 10 o’clock in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, with Reverend David Younger officiating. Interment with military honors accorded by the Randolph County Honor Guard, will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. His family will receive friends on Monday morning, from 9 until 9:45, at the funeral home.
