Weldon Rodwell Loggins

Mr. Weldon Rodwell Loggins, 90, of High Point, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Brookdale High Point.

Born June 25, 1926, in Winston-Salem, Weldon was the son of the late Leffie Andrew and Amelia Hinshaw Loggins. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Violet Knight Loggins, his daughter, Cynthia Easter, and six siblings. Weldon was a veteran of the US Navy and was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church in Wallburg. He was employed with Hennis and Specter freight lines, Pinkerton Security, and most recently, Goodwill where he worked until the age of 85.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Modlin and husband, Larry; grandson, Phillip Modlin and wife, Crystal; two granddaughters, Erica Jobe and husband, Mike, and Angela Munsie and husband, Scott; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Sarah Rayle; and two brothers, Arless Loggins and Thad Loggins.

Graveside will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery, officiated by Tommy Kidd, Chaplain. The family will receive friends following service.
