William Robert Shaw

Mr. William Robert Shaw, 91, of Greensboro, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Adams Farm Living & Rehabilitation Center.

Born August 11, 1926, in Patterson, NJ, William was the son of the late Paul and Hazel Miller Shaw. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Joe Shaw. William was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Metropolitan Life, and was a member of Saint Benedict’s Catholic Church.

William is survived by his wife, Helen Coltrane Shaw, of Adams Farm, and two sisters, Elizabeth Leishman and Frances Risch, both of New Jersey.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2018, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, in Archdale, officiated by Rev. Dr. Joe D. Coltrane. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Memorial Association Cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Ebenezer Memorial Association Chapel, 6682 Muddy Creek Rd., Archdale, NC 27263.
