William ‘Bill’ Styles, 76, of High Point, passed away April 17, 2019. He was born March 4, 1943, in Swannanoa, NC.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Bill was employed at Harriss & Covington Hosiery Mill for 17 years. He was a Tarheel fan, loved fishing and was an avid golfer. Bill was a humble man who loved his family and friends and will be remembered for his good sense of humor and as a superhero to all who knew him. A wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, he will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lynne Styles; two daughters, Constance E. Styles and husband Gabe Michael, and Cynthia D. Styles; and he was considered a father to his grandson, Robert D. Styles; two brothers, Ray Styles and Marlon Whiteside; two sisters, Linda Burgess and Brenda Mayhew; five grandchildren, Stephanie G. Peedin, Robert D. Styles, Victoria L. Swan, Edward Vance Peedin III and Trinity G. Michael; and seven great grandchildren, Karman L. Hill, Ava M. Styles, Matthew V. Peedin, Miles L. Styles, Tucker A. Swan, Hallie N. Peedin and Arielle M. Styles.
He was preceded in death by two siblings, Harvey Whiteside and Maxine Taylor.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 303 Eastchester Drive, High Point, NC.
