Winnie (McGown) Luckett

SOPHIA - Winnie McGown Luckett, 59, died Saturday, October 23, 2021, at her residence.

She was born August 26, 1962, in Parkersburg, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Paul H. and Alice Angel McGown. She worked in customer service with Paytel Communications and enjoy travelling. Winnie's greatest joy was her family and especially doting on her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Diana F. Luckett.
Winnie is survived by her husband, Jay B Luckett, whom she married on April 8, 1978; two daughters, Kerry Beamon (Scott) of Archdale and Jessica Ward (Josh) of Thomasville; son, Jay B Luckett II of Archdale; five grandchildren, Bethany Freeman, Waylon Luckett (Jenna Phillips), Bryson Ward, Blake Ward and Faith Ward; two sisters, Patty McHenry (Tommy) and Debbie Wishon; three brothers, Joel McGown, Paul McGown and James Parker (Lisa); and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service celebrating Winnie's life will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 27, 2021, in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Pastor Tim Huffman officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at the funeral home.
