Mrs. Halcie Lowe Harris

Mrs. Halcie Lowe Harris, 92, of High Point, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at High Point Regional Hospital.

Born July 15, 1922 in Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Will and Ava Lambe Lowe. She was an active member of Springfield Friends Meeting, and loved her church family, and she was retired from the former Prelude Foam in Thomasville. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond M. Harris; her brother, Hubert Lowe; and two sisters, Helen Lowe Herndon and Hazel Lowe Fouts.

Survivors include her son, Doug Harris and wife, Rebecca, of Trinity; two grandchildren, Holly Harris Davis and husband, Kevin, and Michael Harris; two great grandchildren, Faith Davis and Matthew Davis; a niece, Claudia Chastain; a great niece, Debra Herndon; and a great nephew, Sean Chastain.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale officiated by Rev. Ray Luther. Interment will follow in Springfield Friends Meeting Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Springfield Friends Meeting, 555 E. Springfield Rd., High Point, NC 27263.
