Mr. Clifton Harold Calhoun

Clifton H. Calhoun, 46, of High Point, entered into Heaven on Monday, August 12, 2013.

Born March 17, 1967 in Tazewell Co., Virginia, Clifton spent his life as a caregiver for many of his beloved family members.  He worked for several years as a diesel mechanic for Guy M. Turner and had the ability to fix anything.  On August 30, 1996, he married the love of his life and best friend, Debbie.  Clifton will most be remembered for the immense amount of love he had for his family.  He was preceded in death by father, James Ronald Calhoun; grandparents, James and Pauline Calhoun and Anthony and Eva Wolford; and in-laws, Bill and Cindy Taylor.

Clifton is survived by his wife, of the home; mother and stepfather, Lucy and Steve Bennett of Charlottesville, VA; sisters, Rhonda Stiltner and husband Johnny of Abingdon, VA, Chastity Branch and husband Carl of Charlottesville, VA; brother- in-law Bill Taylor and wife Christine of Asheboro; 10 nieces and nephews; 9 great nieces and nephews; 1 great-great niece; and beloved dog Zeva.

A celebration of Clifton’s life will be held on Friday, August 16th at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale at 2 p.m. with Chaplain Jeanette Robertson and Rodney Wolford officiating.  Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 15th from 6pm – 8 pm at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale.
