Mr. Don Neil Kirby

       Mr. Donald “Don” Neil Kirby, 80, resident of Archdale, died April 8, 2016 at Hospice Home at High Point.
Mr. Kirby was born June 8, 1935 in Marion, VA, a son to the late Ancil and Esther French Kirby.  A resident of this area 54 years, he retired from Marlow Van Loan and was a member of Sophia Baptist Church.  In 1956 he married the former Phyllis Shortt who survives of the residence.
Also surviving is a son, Lee Kirby of High Point; a sister, Diann Russell; and two brothers, Harold L. Kirby and Michael W. Kirby.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Rev. Bill V. Barnes officiating.  Entombment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr. High Point, NC, 27262.
