Barbara Jane (Lanier) Bradley

Barbara Jane Lanier Bradley, 87, of High Point died Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Hospice Home of High Point.

She was born November 23, 1929, in Guilford County and was the daughter of the late, E.W. and Hazel Haithcock Lanier.  She was retired from the furniture industry and a member of Landmark Baptist Church.  She was a faithful blood donor with the American Red Cross and enjoyed baking, picking up pecans and playing cards, and especially being “Nana” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Lee Bradley; and her son, James Howard White.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Jean White of Archdale; a daughter-in-law, Debra White of High Point; two grandchildren, Tim White and his wife, Kristen, and Heather Shafer and her husband, Patrick; and four great-grandchildren, McKenna, Leyland, Hannah and Daniel, all of Archdale.

Funeral service celebrating Barbara’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 27, 2017, at Landmark Baptist Church with the Rev. Amos Mashburn and the Rev. Rodney Hedrick officiating.  Burial will follow at Floral Gardens Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Monday at the church prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC  27262; or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC  27405.
