Linda and family: I just learned this news this morning! You have been an amazing caregiver and I know you have an empty place in your heart...even though you are probably physically and emotionally exhausted! I am so sorry we lived so far apart that David and I couldn't have visited together during all these adult years. He has "fought a good fight and finished the race", and we can look forward to a reunion with him some day in a place where we will never again have to say "Goodbye"... May God comfort all of you with that blessed hope and surround you with His love...

I already miss my first Cousin David. But I am so glad he doesn't have to suffer anymore. He wanted to stay with Linda & the rest of his family as long as he could.
As Linda said, he fought a good fight. I missed a lot of his life.
I learned alot about him from my last visit with him & from reading his book he wrote about his time in Vietnam. Linda you were so good to him. You was by his side thru it all till he pasted.

To say I thought so much of and respected David is an understatement. He gave me the opportunity to come to work for the firm his hard work built and later become his and Jamie's partner. I will always be so grateful for that and will forever cherish the memories of working with David and getting to know him as I did.

Lynn, Kelly and I send our most heartfelt condolences to Linda, Jamie, Teresa and the rest of the Sledge family.

It was a distinct privilege to work in partnership with such a talented, knowledgeable professional in the accounting profession for over a decade. My prayers are with the family of Mr. David Sledge and my hopes are warm memories fill their hearts in this time of sorrow. -To live in the hearts of those we leave behind is never to die.-

I send my love and prayers to Linda and family. David was a fine man whom I respected and admired so much. Not only a man of integrity but compassion as well. My faith carries me through the recent loss of my husband, I pray faith will see this precious family through as well. Saying goodbye for now is never easy but we know we will see him again.

I worked for David for 34 years. During that time he always encouraged me. He was instrumental getting me to return to college and complete my degree and supported me in my endeavors. I am thankful for everything he did for me through the years. We had our moments, like with any long relationship, but in the end we respected each other and I will miss him. Linda, Jamie, Teresa and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I know you will miss him.
