My deepest sympathy to the family of Lee Sherrill Jr. from Winfred Coe. I am the grandson of Samuel F. Coe and nephew of Dr. Sam Coe and Verta.
I was looking forward to Lee's book and would like to know how to buy it when you have time to advise.
Thank you and our prayers go with you,

WInfred T. Coe

The salutation that I am most pleased to recall is that Lee Sherill always referred to me as "The only Good Yankee he ever knew."

This is inscribed in my hard bound copy of "The 21st North Carolina Infantry" which has been cherished but now to be Treasured.

Thank You Lee for all the good memories

My sympathy for the family for Lee's passing ; what a life he led. His book about the 21st NC led me to my ancestor who was in Company G of the 21st and survived a yr in Elmira POW prison to come back to NC and marry a high point gal .

We are so sorry to hear this. We did not see Lee often, but when we did it was always such a pleasure - and we had hoped to see more of him during retirement years. May you all be blessed with frequent and pleasant memories of him.
