High Point-Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Sumner Watson, 90, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at Graybrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Watson.
Mrs. Watson was born on June 20, 1926 in Randolph County a daughter of the late Shelby Sumner and Ethel M. Wall Sumner. For most of her adult life she owned and operated Twilight Beauty Shop.
Mrs. Watson loved church and was a faithful member of Jamestown Friends Meeting. Her family meant the world to her and she enjoyed spending time with them.
Surviving are four sisters, Frances Brower of Trinity, Lucy Clinard of Thomasville, Betty Frazier and her husband, Raymond of Randleman, and Ann Hoover Taylor of High Point; a brother, Donnie Sumner of Trinity; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by four sisters, Virginia, Cora Lee, Mattie and Nellie; and two brothers, Roy and Reid.
A graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Floral Garden Park Cemetery with Frank C. Massey officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Drive, High Point.
