this is so heart-breaking to know that my classmate in corps school Great Lakes passed on and we never got to know. today is when i actually paid attention to the posts on his wall written by his mom (God bless your soul and keep you strong) that it sunk in that he died in 2013. You were a great guy and we will miss you. all this while i thought you were somewhere on deployment with the marines. May your soul rest in peace Norris.

Matt was the kind of person who you couldn't be mad at for very long. We had a lot of fun adventures together and he was someone I deeply loved and cared about. He talked about his family and his friends so often, I felt I knew them all personally. I'll never forget going to the beach, running 5K's, singing and dancing with him, and our trip to DC together. Thank you Jeanette and Mitch for bringing to the world, for too short of time, a little bit of sunshine into my life. <3

Matt I was so happy and proud for you and still am..I know when i look at that blue sky there is my dad and you telling us that heaven is the greatest...and in the end we all will meet up younder.! I dedicate blue candles to you and blue skies and know you will watch over everyone until we all come together again...I miss you every moment and blue is what we all will be without you...you left us with your smile for sure and those big eyes.....love you Matt....forever! cousin Gail

I choose this color because when I see the sun from now on I will think of a hero who will always shine even though your not with us anymore I will never forget that goofy smile and all the moments we shared when we used to hang out. I never thought 2011 would be the last time I would see you but our times together was always a blast. R.I.P Buddy my heart hurts but this too shall pass!!!
