Nancy Louise Paige

ARCHDALE-Nancy Louise Paige, 86, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017.

She was born on April 24, 1931 in Guilford County, daughter of the late Mr. W.W. “Papa” and Lucy Haithcock Paige. A resident of this area all of her life, she was a 1949 graduate of Allen Jay High School and had worked at Leggett & Platt for many years. She was a former member of Reavis Memorial Baptist Church and Allen Jay Baptist Church. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was a son, Steven Monnell Burton.

She leaves to cherish her memory; her children, Nancy “Bunny” Shoaf and husband Jerry of Oak Island, Marty “Butch” Burton and his wife Sara of Caswell Beach; a very special daughter in- law, Beverley Burton of High Point; her sisters, Phyllis Nance and husband Roger of High Point, Linda Brown and husband John of Gaffney, SC. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Scott Shoaf and wife Christa, Chad Shoaf and wife Leslie, Bart Shoaf and wife Rebecca, Jennifer Markle and husband Sam, Seth Jenkins; her great grandchildren, Lucy, Brendan, Noah, and Lily Shoaf.

A service to celebrate Nancy’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 30, at 2 pm, from the graveside in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery, with Reverend Ralph Eanes and Reverend Lee Pollock officiating. The family will see friends immediately following the service.
